Meet the Photographer

Hey, I'm Samantha!

But, please, call me Sam. A little about me.

I am a University of Memphis graduate, and while I live in Northwest TN, my heart belongs to Main St, Memphis. I began my photography journey around 2011 when a friend needed a wedding photographer and I thought, "I think I can do that". SWP became a business a few years later in 2017. I live in a 71-year-old house that has been in my family for almost 40 years. I love home projects and decorating. I also love coffee, NCIS, Criminal Minds, thrifting, and old black and white photos.

Wedding Day Assistant & Bookworm

Dana and I met in elementary school. She is also a U of M graduate and loves photography. Dana is married to Nicky, and they live in Tiptonville, TN. She has a photography business named River Tales Photography. Dana is my wedding assistant and backup shooter. Brides love her because she is super sweet and always very helpful.

*If we ever come up missing, we're eating BBQ on Beale St.*

Session Assistant & Pro Hype Girl

Nikki is my bestie! She keeps me grounded, positive, and busy. Nikki has a master's degree and works in the library at Lake County High School. She and her partner, Dustin, live in Tiptonville. Nikki doesn't run her own photo business, but she does run the LCHS yearbook staff. Nikki helps plan portrait sessions, assists at the sessions, and organizes SWP's work with student athletes at LCHS.

*Nikki once saved me from getting hit by a car and another time, falling face-first into a creek.*

Tyler Walley

Tyler is the baby of the bunch at only 21 years old. However, his skills match that of photographers with many years of experience. Tyler lives in Tiptonville as well and runs Photos by Tyler. He brings a youthful, energetic vibe to the team that I feel will help us reach the next generation of wedding clients.

Second Photographer & Light Chaser

I met Danielle when she was a senior in college and then we worked together at White & Associates Insurance where we became close friends. We share a love of photography and animals. Danielle is married to Mark. Together, they have a host of cool pest including a fox! Danielle runs Fox and Fern Roam-ography. Fun fact: Danielle and I ventured to Smithville, TN and shot her bridal session at a waterfall.
